There’s tons of blog posts out there with popular questions to ask your potential wedding videographer. Future brides, you’ve got a lot of work to do when planning your special day, so let us help you out by telling you a bit about us!

How would you describe your style of wedding films?
Hmmm… Well, we are not very good at talking about ourselves, but, we’d say that our style of films is very real, beautiful, yet very grounded to who you truly are as a couple. We’re not over the top. We’re authentic – yes, that word is overused – but it’s true. You’ll watch this video over and over, and feel like a guest to your very own wedding. It is another experience that you wouldn’t normally have, to your own life, to your love story, and all of your magical memories. Another important thing to note is that we are “wedding ninjas”. What is that? We get immersed in the filming process while we’re with you, and you’ll totally forget that we are even there with a video camera.

How long have you been filming weddings?
Since we started out in film production over eight years ago. There’s something special about seeing two people come together surrounded by their loved ones.
Fun Fact – Hope cries every time she watches a finished wedding edit that we’ve worked on.

How many weddings do you film per year?
On average, we film about ten to fifteen weddings per season. Usually starting each year in early April, and going through to September – sometimes late October. We often book weddings at least one or two years in advance. Wedding season coincides with some of the best times to film outdoors, so we tend to book up our weekends pretty fast.

Are there any other professionals that you love to work with?
The wedding industry in Kamloops is quite small and we know pretty much everyone. Needless to say, we won’t say no to working with someone new or an out of town company, ’cause we love making friends during a production!

If you’re looking for some of our favourites… For photographers, we recommend Rozalind of Rozalind Photography, Stacey of Stacey Krolow Photography, and Kathleen of Kathleen Fisher Photography. If you need a DJ, head over to visit Jesse and Ian at Common Sound. Need a wedding planner or day of coordinator? Talk to Renee of Wild Sage Events – she even has a great podcast about wedding planning – or Brandy with Brandy Maddison Event Planning.

What kind of pricing or packages do you offer?
We can easily work with your budget and what you’re looking for.
Generally, we film a ‘trailer’ beginning with your hair and makeup all the way through to your bouquet toss and reception (about 11-13 hours). We offer a special ceremony coverage package, a fun reception and party edit, a full trailer (about 2-3 minutes long), a same day edit (literally filmed and edited all in one day!), and an extended trailer (usually 5-6 minutes long). After your wedding edit has been completed, we’ll send you a link to our Vimeo page. You can have access to a hard copy and all of the raw footage when you stop our office with a sizeable storage drive.
(Check out our handy blog post on how to properly store your hard drive)
Send us a direct message on Facebook, Instagram, or an e-mail to learn more about how much each one of these package prices.

What kind of camera equipment/gear do you have?
When we first started out, we had Canon 6Ds, and over the years, we’ve upgraded. Now, we shoot on a Canon EOS C100 and a Canon EOS C200. With the capacity to shoot film in 4K, we are creating cutting edge, high quality products. We can create footage in slow mo, and even super slow mo – it looks really cool – and so do our aerial videography skills.

Do you have a second shooter or backup camera?
Yes, you bet. There will always be two of our team members present to film your wedding. Usually, one person is filming the groom and his friends getting ready, and the other, with the bride, and then they coordinate to meet up according to your day of schedule.

Have you shot at our ceremony venue or reception venue?
Most likely, yes. We have filmed weddings all over Kamloops and are very familiar with all of the ceremony and reception venues in our neighbourhood. You may not know, but we also service surrounding areas. We have filmed many beautiful weddings out on Shuswap Lake (Chase, Salmon Arm, Sorrento, Sicamous), in the Okanagan (Monte Lake, Vernon, Kelowna), and Calgary, Squamish, as well as destination weddings!
